The Therapeutic Rehabilitation Department at the Na Bulovce Teaching Hospital is an outpatient institute that provides medical physiotherapy for inpatients and outpatients. The Therapeutic Rehabilitation Department is comprehensive, i.e. it provides therapeutic physical education, electrotherapy, hydrotherapy and ergotherapy. As a multifactor branch of medicine, the therapy covers all areas, from traumatology to internal therapy, including urology and gynaecology etc. The department is interested in lifestyle diseases, i.e. the ubiquitous spinal pains. In collaboration with the rheumatology departments, the Therapeutic Rehabilitation Department deals with arthroses and their consequences.

Details of using magnetotherapy Biomag:

A pulse magnetic field is frequently applied in our department. We started using Biomag® devices in 1991. The Biomag® range now includes a new Biomag® device from the Monada Series. We appreciate the option of applying magnetotherapy not only by the programme numbers but of creating individual programmes as well. The device is small, easy to operate and the performance is excellent. Although we have only had the device for a short time, we can say that it is reliable and so far has had no defects. Therapy applied to diseases of the locomotive apparatus does not automatically have an instant effect. Magnetotherapy helps to stimulate the healing processes, speed up recovery and return the patient to a normal way of life. Of course, various therapies can be combined to accelerate the recovery. Our department has been using magnetotherapy for many years: we have used devices developed by Dr. Jeřabek and other manufacturers so we are able to compare and follow the technical developments in this branch.
It is good to see that performance is increasing while size is decreasing. Portable devices are advantageous because you can move them around, they are not heavy and they are nearly maintenance-free. Due to our growing number of patients, we sometimes have to limit the number of applications.

Frequently used diagnoses: pain in the lumbar spinal column, coxa – arthrosis, pain in the knees – arthrosis, and humeral joint, permanent severe pain in the knee-joint.
